Had a blast walking around the city on Friday before the living room show. I wandered from 122nd st through the park down to the natural history museum. Though I had unfortunately already eaten, I stopped at the Hungarian Pastry Shop which looked super delicious and had equally yummy artwork (see below). The one on the right was in the bathroom!
When I got to the natural history museum, I went straight for the dinosaurs. Been thinking a lot about extinction lately. The stegosauruses and triceratops are my favorites. It struck me, however, that the wooly mammoth horns look a bit like an infinity symbol! Maybe we will all be OK after all :) The living room show was pretty small and scarcely attended, but proved a good opportunity to work out some new material. It was also really great to see my Godmother and fun to get to know Thurman better. Went to this activist galla event afterwards and did some networking. Was a little overwhelming, but also great to feel so much young energy and excitement. Wanting to work on performing at more benefits and parties!
